Oh Carols

WITH the Argyle Carol Service coming soon, we asked the Plymouth Harmony Choir, who will join us at Home Park on Wednesday, December 13, to do something special.

Therefore, we present a Christmas carol you are bound to recognise, but with a little twist...

The Theatre of Greens will once again echo to the sounds of the season when Argyle hosts our annual Christmas Carol Service, while the Pilgrims’ final home game two days before Christmas Day, against Oldham Athletic, will also have a thoroughly festive feel.

The traditional annual Argyle Christmas Carol Service will take place this year on Wednesday, December 13, at 7pm.

The popular service, which takes place at the Devonport end of Home Park, is being led by the Plymouth Youth Concert Band, who will play a selection of favourite Christmas carols, from Once in Royal David’s City to O Come All Ye Faithful.

The open air concert will also see contributions from Argyle personalities who will join in the community singing with the Plymouth Harmony Choir.

The sound system and lighting for the evening is being provided by PL1events, the team behind Plymouth’s summer smash, MTV Crashes and, of course, there will be a special visit from Father Christmas.

Entry to the concert is free, via the large entrance gate at the Devonport end of Home Park.

Gates will open at 6.20pm for a 7pm start. So come on down to the Theatre of Greens for a fantastic evening, full of festive cheer.

There will be more traditional Christmas carols and songs at Home Park on Saturday, December 23, when the Pilgrims entertain Oldham Athletic in Sky Bet League One.

The Plymouth Youth Concert Band will provide the music before the match and at half-time as Argyle head into Christmas.
