Under-18s - Yeovil 0 Argyle 1
ARGYLE'S youngsters bagged themselves a 1-0 EFL Youth Alliance win away at Yeovil.
Klaidi Lolos, the young Pilgrim who got the winning goal in the FA Youth Cup match against AFC Wimbledon, also scored the winning goal in this match.
They had to work hard as the pitch was very slippery so a change in tactics was needed in order to adapt to it.
Argyle started the game brightly, passing well, utilising the wide spaces and pushing for a lot of corners.
Yeovil soon picked up possession but the Pilgrims created a solid defence and were able to shut the opposition down on several occasions to keep the scoreline blank.
It was in the 78th minute that the goal came for Argyle, from a breakaway down the left-hand side. The ball was crossed in and Lolos rushed in from about six yards to chip the ball into the net.
Academy Director Kevin Hodges said: "I was delighted with the clean sheet and the boys were rewarded for their hard work and grafting with a late goal."
Argyle: Harry Townsend (gk), Harry Hodges, Ryan Law, Tom Purrington, Andy Burn, Elliot Crawford, Billy Craske, Cameron Sangster, Klaidi Lolos (Aaron Goulty 88), Adam Randell (Rio Garside 72), Luke Jephcott.
