Officially Darren

DARREN Drysdale will be the referee for Argyle’s trip to Luton Town on Saturday.

He last officiated Argyle on April 9, 2016 at Home Park, where Argyle fell to a 2-1 defeat to AFC Wimbledon.

This will be the seventh time that Drysdale has refereed Argyle, having previously officiated in fixtures against York City, Scunthorpe United, Exeter City, Brentford, Norwich City and Crewe Alexandra. In those game, Argyle have had three victories, one draw and three defeats. He has booked six Argyle players in the past and never produced a red card for a Pilgrim.

Thus far this season, Drysdale has officiated in 12 games, producing 39 yellows and two reds. Both dismissals were straight red cards, although the second – Blackpool’s Tom Aldred being sent off at Cambridge – was rescinded after an appeal. He has awarded two penalties.
