Officially Paul

PAUL Tierney will take charge of Argyle's Emirates FA Cup tie when Argyle travel to Anfield to beat Liverpool on Sunday.

Tierney has only been the man in the middle three times for Argyle matches, with the last being the Sky Bet League Two play-off semi-final second leg win against Portsmouth last season.

Prior to that, Paul's previous game involving the Pilgrims was a 3-2 win for Hudderfield in January 2011. In that game, Huddersfield's Gary Roberts, who also played for Pompey in the aforementioned play-off game, was replaced near the hour mark...by Graham Carey!

Given that his other Argyle match was a Championship game at Queens Park Rangers, it means that the Anfield game will be Paul's fourth with Argyle, in four different competitions.

In 17 games this season, he has shown 67 yellow cards and two reds, awarding five penalties.
