Peninsula Report - Saltash 0 Argyle 0

ON paper, both sides lost ground on the leaders from Plymouth Parkway but the bigger picture was a very satisfying day for different reasons.

Saltash can be extremely proud of picking up a point against an Argyle side containing six first-team professionals, including the likes of Nathan Blissett and Oscar Threlkeld returning from injury.

From a Pilgrim perspective, these are the games that make involvement in the Peninsula League so useful to first-team manager Derek Adams, as he can build the fitness of his troops. Both sides had chances on a cold afternoon at the Kimberley Stadium and Max Childs denied Sam Hughes for the Ashes with a great save, but a draw was the right result.
