Peninsula Report - Tavistock 1 Argyle 0

A DEFLECTED effort was the difference between two of the title contenders for the Premier Division this season.

A very young Argyle outfit only had one professional on show - Jordan Bentley - but still showed their strength to fully test a Tavistock side protecting the only unbeaten record in the league.

Tavvy pinched the points when a long-range effort from Josh Grant wrong-footed the Pilgrim goalkeeper Max Childs and it was then a real battle of attrition. The Lambs held on for a win that keeps them hot on the tails of leaders Plymouth Parkway, while a strong display from Argyle will give them confidence, if not the points.
