Argyle came through a tough encounter in Dorset before seeing off a resilient Poole Town who twice took the lead. Argyle took the lead in the 22nd minute through Knapman after good work by Zoe Cunningham. Poole then equalised through Jemma Tewkesbury.

Argyle started the second half poorly when a freak own goal lobbed goalkeeper Michaela Phillips and into the net. Argyle responded immediately with a superb strike from Cunningam. Argyle took the lead in the 66th minute when Knapman grabbed her second of the game. Knapman completed her hat-trick in the 82nd minute finishing coolly. Cunningham then scored her second of the match to put Argyle further ahead and the tie out of reach for Poole.

Manager Rowland said: "Lane, Cunningham and Dandridge were immense in midfield and I felt this was where we won the game. It was also good to see Tamsin (Medd-Gill) coming on for her senior debut."

A much changed Argyle team proved too good for their Cornish opponents.

On the half hour mark a short corner was played to Alex Hughwho rifled in a shot to put Argyle ahead. Three minutes later Solloway's cross was met by Faye Ivall who made no mistake. The third goal came in the 37th minute when Solloway's cross was fumbled by the Newquay keeper and Vinnicombe coolly volleyed home for her debut goal. Argyle missed multiple chances to extend their lead in the first half.

Two more goals were scored in the second half from Whitmore and Alphous as Argyle continued to outclass their opponents in a dominant display.

Manager Rob Bonney said: "It is another win, we had to make a number of changes today and it showed in periods of the game."
