Peninsula Report: St Austell 3 Argyle 3
ARGYLE kicked off their final Carlsberg South West Peninsula League season with a 3-3 draw away to St Austell.
The Pilgrims twice came from behind to secure a Premier Division point at Poltair, with midfielder Adam Randell scoring twice.
Randell opened the Argyle account with a shot from the edge of the box towards the end of the first half, but not before the Pilgrims had conceded two early goals.
A much better second-half display saw Dan Rooney level matters with a chip from long range, and Argyle were still on the up when St Austell broke away and went ahead again against the run of play.
However, the Pilgrims showed great character to come back and earn a share of the spoils when Rio Garside crossed for Randell to score his second goal of the match.
