New Year Rest

THE excellent win for Walsall at Sunderland in the FA Cup on Tuesday evening will allow the Pilgrims a rare weekend off on Saturday, January 5.
While the home clash with Walsall has now been rearranged for Tuesday, January 22, Argyle manager Derek Adams was pleased to have some added rest after a frantic festive season that will see the Pilgrims play four Sky Bet League One fixtures in the space of 10 days.
“It’s great for Walsall to get through in the FA Cup and it gives us a Saturday off after what is going to be a hectic spell,” said Derek.
“We are happy in a way to get a Saturday off. We would prefer to be in the FA Cup third round but it does give us a Saturday off that we haven’t had.”
