Jake's Journey
JAKE Jervis has joined Sky Bet League Two leaders Luton Town.
The now former Pilgrim moved to Kenilworth Road late on transfer deadline day for an undisclosed fee.
Jake was Derek Adams’ second signing for Argyle, in July 2015, the second summer in succession that the pair had been united - he had joined Derek at Ross County a year earlier, shortly before the manager was relieved of his duties at Dingwall.
Derek quickly swooped for the tall attacker once in situ at Home Park, and he was rewarded by the player with more than 100 committed appearances in the Green, Black and White.
Jake scored 14 goals in his first season, starting the majority of games as the Pilgrims reached the 2016 Sky Bet League Two Wembley play-off final.
He played a further 49 games, including 35 starts, in 2016-17 as Argyle won promotion to League One. This time, Jake weighed in 13 goals, and numerous assists.
This season, he started 20 games, made seven substitute appearances, and scored four goals.
During his Argyle career, Jake was adept at scoring goals in pairs, netting twice in a game on six occasions, including the 6-1 win against Newport County that sealed our promotion in April.
In total, he played 127 times for Argyle, including 101 starts, and scored 31 goals. He will always be remembered as a promotion-winning Pilgrim, who gave his all for Argyle.
All the best, Jake.
