ARGYLE defender Oscar Threlkeld believes Argyle should have their sights firmly set on the Sky Bet League One play-off positions as they look to continue their fine run at Rochdale on Saturday.

The Pilgrims currently sit in sixth position after their 1-0 victory over Bradford City last weekend - their sixth win in a row. Oscar feels that the Greens have come a long way in the space of two months and he is not ready to let it stop.

Oscar said: “It's unbelievable from the team. We were bottom of the league in December. So from December to the play-offs in two months is crazy; that is how football is. You can be so poor and be lucky, but we are playing well and deserved it. Some of the results have gone against us, i.e. Blackpool, Wigan but, we are in a great position.

"The club, the town and we are on a high. It's not great to be around when you are losing with heads going down, and people moaning and groaning. It shows how good and how strong our team is. We are a tight squad and when things aren’t going right it shows we can work around things and turn it around.

"I think if we weren’t in the position we are in now, maybe if we were 13th, between bottom half and top half anything else would be a bonus. But, now we are in the play offs I think we are looking to get in there and even higher if possible. I think we are looking to get in the play-offs; if we can that is ideal. It’s something we are looking forward to seeing if it happens.”

Threlkeld feels that it’s not just the starting 11 that deserve credit for the recent run of form.

“The lads have been training well," he said. "The people on the bench, in and around the squad; it’s a team game. We have been playing good football and are defensively strong. We have had a bit of a hiccup against Wigan. But it’s been a great run and we are looking to carry on and do the same thing

"We are looking forward to playing Rochdale on Saturday."
