Bournemouth 2 Argyle Youth 2

ARGYLE battled to an impressive 2-2 draw at Bournemouth in the EFL Youth Alliance on Tuesday and a positive display after a tough defeat at Exeter.

The Pilgrims went out of the FA Youth Cup to the Grecians last week and a big disappointment for the youngsters following the tremendous success in that competition last season.

Michael Peck gave Argyle the lead at Bournemouth on 25 minutes, swiping a loose ball into the net following a free-kick.

The Cherries struck back with two goals in the space of three minutes but the scores were level again before half-time, as Klaidi Lolos got the final touch on a set-piece from out wide.

The second half failed to reach the entertaining heights of the first but Argyle travelled home feeling a little better about the world.

Argyle: Harry Townsend; Isaac Burdon (Rubin Wilson 79), Reuben Collum, Adam Randell, Michael Peck, Ollie Tomlinson, Jude Boyd (Finley Craske 60), Jarvis Cleal, Klaidi Lolos, Rio Garside, Aaron Goulty: Substitutes (not used): Shaun Hillier, Jimmy Miller.
