5,000 Miles To Watch Argyle

ARGYLE are delighted to welcome Roger Jefford to Home Park this evening for our Carabao Cup First Round tie against Leyton Orient.

A lifelong Argyle fan, 76-year-old Jefford has flown and travelled 5,000 miles to watch the Pilgrims tonight.

Roger’s journey to The Theatre of Greens started in Vancouver, Canada and, after a 10-hour long flight, landed in Kent. The stretch from Kent to Plymouth was longer than anticipated – taking seven and half hours due to traffic.

Joined at the match tonight by his daughter Julie, Roger is hoping to buy a new Argyle shirt before kick-off to wear with pride as he cheers on the side, which he first saw play in 1951.
