Argyle v Colchester - the Line-Up
ARGYLE lined up for their first home game of the new Sky Bet League Two season unchanged from the starting 11 that put three past Crewe Alexandra on the opening day of the season.
Goalkeeper Alex Palmer, who had a stand-out debut at the Alexandra Stadium, continued in goal behind a back three of skipper Gary Sawyer, Niall Canavan and Scott Wootton. Joe Riley continued at right wing-back, with two-goal debutant Callum McFadzean on the left.
Joe Edwards occupied the holding midfield slot, behind the dynamic central midfield duo of Danny Mayor and Antoni Sarcevic. Joel Grant continued his new-found striker role up front, alongside Byron Moore. On the bench, Chelsea loanee Josh Grant replaced Klaidi Lolos.
Colchester made one change from the side that drew 1-1 with Port Vale on the opening day, with Ben Stevenson replacing Harry Pell in midfield for the U's.
