WHILE much focus is understandably placed on the multi-million-pound development of the Mayflower Grandstand, the club has been hard at work to enhance the match-day experience in other areas of the stadium, too.
One such area of improvement can be found in our food and refreshment kiosks around the ground, where the club has listened to feedback from supporters regarding our service – investing in improvements such as the new EPOS till system, with the option of contactless / chip and pin credit or debit card transactions, and apple pay at every till point, alongside cash payments and our new pre-sold voucher.
While the EPOS system should help reduce queuing time, we appreciate that not everybody possesses a contactless bank card. As a result, we have also introduced a food and drink voucher, which can be purchased at the Home Park ticket office alongside your match-day ticket. In addition, we will pre-pour popular beverages ahead of the half-time rush to get you refreshed as quickly as possible. Work is also underway on an additional two kiosks to help further reduce queue times.
We understand, though, that speed of service is only one of many factors that influence the match-day experience. Having listened to feedback from the Green Army, we have introduced a number of value initiatives, like adult and child meal deals, multi-buy promotions on all soft drinks and sweets, and a thirsty 30 promotion, offering discounts on food and beverages purchased within the first half an hour of turnstiles opening.
Our new Pasty of the Month offering will add a bit of variety to the fans’ favourite pre-match meal, and there will also be a brand-new draught offering within the Devonport End, with plans to extend the draught options across the stadium through the course of this season.
The club has committed to reviewing the kiosk experience regularly across the year and will take all feedback on board throughout the season. As all money generated through the match-day kiosks is reinvested into the club, we feel it is important that we provide the best possible experience for supporters and encourage members of the Green Army to purchase items within the ground.
