Manager – Michael Flynn
Flynn was a much-travelled midfielder in his playing days, starring for the likes of Gillingham, Wigan, Bradford and Newport in three separate spells. He was appointed Newport caretaker-manager in March 2017 and brilliantly steered the club away from what seemed like certain relegation out of the Football League. He then masterminded famous FA Cup victories over Leicester and Leeds, as well as reaching the League Two Play-Off Final last season.

Pre-Match View
“I want to pack out Rodney Parade as much as we can and as often as we can. On Saturday, they [the summer recruits] will get a taste of a real atmosphere at Rodney Parade. Plymouth travel well, big club, good supporters and it’s going to be a noisy afternoon.” Mike Flynn

Things to do in Crewe
Situated just over the bridge into Wales, the magnificent Celtic Manor Resort is a golfing Mecca and the host venue for the 2010 Ryder Cup. Getting a tee-time might not be easy, such is the popularity of their four courses but, if you can and you love golf, Celtic Manor is something very special.
