One More Attacker
ARGYLE manager Ryan Lowe is still in the market for one more attacking player to bolster his squad before we enter the full slog of a campaign in Sky Bet League Two.
The new Pilgrim boss has made plenty of additions in the summer and it has been a great start to the campaign, but one further addition could be a big help, particularly with Joel Grant and Byron Moore missing the 1-0 defeat at Newport on Saturday.
While Ryan remains confident that both Joel and Byron will be available again very soon, attacking options are also welcome for an attack-minded manager.
“We’re looking for one more player and we’re in discussions,” he said. “As I always say, there are other clubs involved, it’s not just Plymouth Argyle looking for players.
“We’re making good progress and we’re looking for one more attacking player. We feel we’re quite comfortable now with the midfield and the back lads. We’ve got plenty of cover at the back, so it will be an attacking player.
“Joel is on his recovery and not far away, he’s doing quite well. We left Byron Moore at home [for the Newport game] because we felt he had a tight hamstring and I’m very cautious that I don’t want to risk anyone for a long time if there’s some sort of niggle. We will see where he is on Monday morning.”
