Welcome Recognition
ARGYLE manager Ryan Lowe and midfielder Antoni Sarcevic were both nominated for EFL awards this week after a solid November for the Pilgrims.
League victories over the promotion-chasing duo of Forest Green Rovers and Bradford City, plus an FA Cup win at Bolton Wanderers, led to Ryan being nominated for the EFL Manager of the Month Award.
Sarce scored the winner at Forest Green and his excellent recent form led to the midfielder being nominated for Player of the Month, and it is all welcome recognition for the club.
“It’s recognition for everyone involved and, as I’ve said before, if you can find that consistent balance, accolades and nominations come along,” said Ryan.
“I’m with a lot of good managers who are doing the same things. They are all doing the right things, trying to get up the top of the table, trying to win games of football. It’s good recognition for the work we’re doing but the big reward comes at the end of the season.
“It’s good for Sarce to be nominated and a boost of confidence for him, along with the other players on that list. Any nomination, award or personal accolade is always nice.”
