Exmouth 4 Argyle 0
A POOR display from Argyle handed Exmouth a comfortable win and dislodged the Pilgrims from the summit of the Carlsberg South-West Peninsula League.
Jordan Harris was the main man for Exmouth, banging in an impressive hat-trick but there was no hiding away from an Argyle performance that lacked the normal verve and purpose required for positive results in this division.
Exmouth struck the post inside the opening five minutes and there was a sense of inevitability about the opening goal, as a mis-timed challenge in the box led to a penalty comfortably converted by Harris.
Argyle were struggling to find any rhythm in their play and little surprise when Harris doubled the lead. Alex Fletcher did have an effort fired narrowly over just before half-time and substitute Klaidi Lolos went close after the interval.
A free header from Mark Lever then effectively killed the game and Harris crowned his performance by completing the hat-trick on a tough day for the Pilgrims.
