Will With Wales

CONGRATULATIONS to Argyle’s Under-14 prospect Will Jenkins-Davies, who was recently selected for a two-day training camp with the Wales youth set-up.

Will was a part of the youngest ever youth squad to represent the Argyle Academy at last summer’s Super Cup (formerly known as the Milk Cup) in Northern Ireland, where the Pilgrims won the Vase Final against Mexican side Chivas Guadalajara on penalties.

Will was an unused substitute on that day but did gain some valuable playing time over the course of the tournament, which Argyle compete in every summer.

Jenkins-Davies joins a rich list of Argyle youth players who have appeared on the Welsh national radar, including current first-team Pilgrims Lloyd Jones and Luke Jephcott.

“This gives our young player a fantastic opportunity to train with the best players in Wales at this age-group and we are sure he will have enjoyed the experience,” said Kevin Hodges, Director of the Argyle Academy. “Once again, this gives our Academy coaches great pride and job satisfaction when a youngster receives international recognition.”
