A former striker with Exeter City in the mid-1990s, Richard Pears enjoyed a long playing career in Devon football and has previously managed the likes of Exmouth, Cullompton and Barnstaple.

Buckland captain and a stalwart for the past few seasons, Liam Head was a promising Academy striker at Home Park and also played for England as a junior.

Stadium Details
Buckland moved into their current ground at Homers Heath in 2005, with Steve Perryman performing the opening ceremony and Argyle were delighted to send a team for the inaugural friendly at the new stadium, a game that ended 3-1 to the Pilgrims.

By Road: Take the exit off the A38 marked Newton Abbot. Travel for approximately miles until you come to a roundabout. Turn left and head downhill towards another roundabout. Turn right and drive for approximately 800 yards. Go straight across the B&Q roundabout. Travel along the avenue, and at the top end of this road, turn left and head towards the train Station. Go past the station, go over the railway and get into the right-hand lane. At the second set of traffic lights turn right. Go under the railway and follow this road to the next mini roundabout. Go straight across. Go up the hill and down the other side. The ground is situated on the right-hand side, opposite Combined linen services.
By Rail: Trains from Plymouth to Newton Abbot run regularly and Homers Heath is just over a mile from the Newton Abbot station.

Buckland are based just outside Newton Abbot, where one of the best days out in the whole of Devon is a trip to the racecourse. Newton Abbot races host meetings all-year round and brilliant fun.
