Super Cup Squad
ARGYLE’S Academy travel to Northern Ireland next week to take part in the annual Super Cup.
The squad has now been announced and the Pilgrims will face Arsenal, County Londonderry and Chilean side O’Higgins FC in the group stage.
Super Cup Squad
Izaek AARON-DRISCOLL - A 14-year-old attacking winger, who represented Plymouth Schoolboys under-14s this year. Izaek, who attends Plymstock School, will be making his first trip to the Super Cup.
Zak BAKER - A 14-year-old goalkeeper who has represented West Cornwall under-14s. Zak attended the Cornwall Centre of Excellence in St Stephen before progressing to the Academy at the start of the under 12s. Zak, who currently attends Pool Academy in Redruth, will be making his second trip at the Super Cup.
Ryan DOWNING - A 14-year-old striker, who has progressed through our North Devon COE with Bobby Hopkinson. He has also been selected for East Cornwall Schools Under-14s this year. Ryan, who attends Launceston College, will be making his first trip to the Super Cup.
Jack ENDACOTT - A 14-year-old midfielder, who represented Plymouth schoolboys under-14 and under-15s this season. Jack attends Ivybridge Community College and will be making his first trip to the Super Cup.
Harvey FIELD - A defender, who was scouted playing for Stoke Gabriel by former Head of Academy Recruitment, John James and signed for the Academy three months ago. Harvey has represented Torbay Schoolboys under-14s this season, attending South Dartmoor Community College. He will be making his first trip to the Super Cup.
Jeffery FORKUO - A 14-year-old defender, who attends Devonport High School for Boys. Jeffery represented Plymouth schoolboys under-14 this season. He will be making his first trip to the Super Cup.
Carlo GARSIDE - A 14-year-old midfielder, who joined the Academy as a nine-year-old after attending the Plymouth Centre of Excellence. He represented Plymouth schoolboys under-14 and under-15s. Carlo, who attends Ivybridge Community College, will be making his second trip to the Super Cup.
Jayden GILBERT - A striker, who joined the Academy as a nine-year-old after attending the club’s pre-academy. Jayden, who attends Looe Community Academy, will be making his first trip to the Super Cup.
Oscar HALLS - A 14-year-old defender, who has represented West Cornwall under-13, under-14 and under-15s. He progressed through the Cornwall COE before signing for the Academy at under-10. Oscar, who attends Mounts Bay Academy, will be making his second trip to the Super Cup.
William JENKINS-DAVIES - A 14-year-old attacking midfielder from Dunsford. He has represented Torbay Schoolboys under-14s this season. Will, who attends Torquay Boys Grammar School, will be making his second trip to the Super Cup.
Oscar MASSEY - A 15-year-old striker, who was last year’s Golden Boot winner in the Junior Section. He hails from Truro and has represented West Cornwall Schoolboys under-13s, under 14s and under 15s. He attended the Cornwall Centre of Excellence in St Stephen before progressing to the Academy at the start of the under 12s. Oscar, who attends Penair Secondary School, will be making his second trip to the Super Cup.
Jack MATTHEWS - A 13-year-old midfielder, who has represented East Cornwall under-14 this season. Jack, who attends Treviglas Academy in Newquay, will be making his first trip to the Super Cup.
James MORLEY - A 14-year-old goalkeeper, who has represented Plymouth Schoolboys under-14s. He was signed at the Academy 12 months ago following a goalkeeper-specific open trial. James, who attends Devonport High School for Boys, will be making his first trip to the Super Cup.
Adam POOLE - A 14-year-old defender, who signed for the Academy three months ago following a successful trial. He had previously been at the Chivenor Soccer School with Lee Barrow. Adam, who attends Holsworthy Community College, will be making his first trip to the Super Cup.
Brandon PURSALL - A 15-year-old defender that represented East Cornwall Schoolboys at under-14 and under-15s this year. Brandon, who attends Brannel School in St Stephen, has had the most experience of the Super Cup, as he will be making his third trip to the competition.
Brandon QUINN - The 14-year-old attacking midfielder has represented Torbay Schoolboys under-14s this season. Brandon, who attends St Cuthbert Mayne School, will be making his first trip to the Super Cup.
Harley SNEAP - A 13-year-old midfielder, who joined the Academy at under-12 following a recommendation from Saints South West. Harley, who attends Torquay Academy, will be making his first trip to the Super Cup.
Harvey TAYLOR - A 15-year-old defender, who has represented Plymouth schoolboys under-14 and under-15s this season. Harvey, who attends Ivybridge Community College, will be making his second trip to the Super Cup.
