Busy Pre-Season for Argyle Ladies
ARGYLE Ladies have lined up some juicy pre-season games for both the first team and the Development team, including a meeting with top Super League outfit Bristol City.
The Pilgrims return to pre-season training on Monday, July 1, with the first pre-season game against a Royal Navy representative side taking place on Wednesday, July 17. This is followed eight days later when we travel to Exeter City for a Devon derby.
Next up is a visit to Bishops Lydeard on Sunday, July 28. The next two games will prove to be the most difficult, as we receive West Bromwich Albion on Friday, August 2, who won the National League Midlands Division One title as well as beating Liverpool Feds 5-1 to win the National League Plate.
This is followed with the visit of Super League outfit Bristol City two days later. Bristol have a number of players competing in France at the World Cup. Argyle end pre-season on Sunday, August 11, when we travel to Poole Town, who the Pilgrims beat 6-1 when gaining promotion two seasons ago.
Argyle’s Development team also face a busy pre-season. The first match is on Sunday, July 21, when we travel to Middlezoy Rovers. The following Sunday is a trip to Cheltenham Town. Next is a game at AFC Bournemouth before ending the pre-season campaign in Cornwall with a trip to Callington Town.
