On The Road Again
THE Green Army will travel a grand total of 11,405 miles to and from our 23 away games in Sky Bet League Two next season.
While our final day relegation from Sky Bet League One may still abide painfully in the memories of Argyle fans, they do, at least, have the small comfort of slightly reduced travel next season - 600 miles shorter than the previous campaign.
This can be attributed, in large part, to the return of the Devon Derby with local rivals Exeter City, a round trip from Home Park of 93 miles, while additional excursions to Newport, Forest Green, Cheltenham and Swindon are all closer to Devon than all bar one of last year’s opponents (Bristol Rovers).
Our longest Pilgrimage of the 2019-20 season sees us make the 778-mile round trip to Brunton Park, home of Carlisle United – 28 miles shorter than last season’s longest journey to Sunderland.
The Greens will find out who their opening day opponents will be on Thursday, June 20, when the EFL releases its fixture list for the upcoming season.
