Christmas Cracker
THE famous Christmas Cracker for Argyle Community Trust is back again for this festive season.
The Christmas Cracker involves participants playing alongside the Argyle first-team, followed by a meet and greet with the squad where young people can collect autographs, photos and chat to the players.
After the football session, children get to enjoy a jammed-packed party where they can collect autographs and selfies with the players, who will sign merchandise, as well as be able to throw shapes with Pilgrim Pete and even win some prizes from Father Christmas himself!
The Christmas Cracker offers a unique experience for all those taking part. The session starts with a late afternoon of football where the youngsters are joined by the entire Plymouth Argyle first-team squad who will take part in the training sessions, offering tips, advice and getting stuck in with the games.
Following the training session, children then got to meet Santa Claus, Pilgrim Pete, receive an Argyle goodie bag and have their squad posters signed by the players.
The Christmas Cracker also marks the start of the Christmas Roadshow with courses available across Devon and Cornwall to the festive season. Open to children of all ages and abilities, activities are designed to engage young people by introducing and developing new skills and techniques in the enjoyment of football.
Our team of UEFA-qualified coaches focus on providing a safe, inspirational environment for young people to improve their knowledge of the game, but our primary objective is for all participants to have fun.
Courses have a variation of themes, from the Tiny Tots club for our youngest players to focused programmes on strikers and goalkeepers, search for a star sessions and sessions designed for disability as well as girls only.
Not just packed with football fun, Soccer Roadshows offer children the chance to enjoy multi-sports days, e-gaming and the chance to build their confidence in making new friends and learning new skills. For children aged 5-15 years old, including dedicated groups for disability, this event is not one to be missed.
