Great Expectations
ARGYLE welcome Carlisle United to Home Park in Sky Bet League Two and manager Ryan Lowe is well aware of the expectations that come with playing on our own patch.
The Green Army have been magnificent all season and another tremendous atmosphere is guaranteed at the Theatre of Greens, but the Pilgrims must show exceptional determination to meet those expectations.
Carlisle, like every opponent in this division, will be a very tough team to overcome and Argyle will have to work hard for all three points.
“All games at Home Park have high expectations because of the fans and they’ve got every right to have high expectations,” said Ryan.
“My expectations are high but there’s got to be a level of perseverance in that expectation because we can’t just jump the gun. We know that the teams coming down here, whatever style of football, we’ve got to be at our best.
“Nothing is ever easy and League Two is a grind. It’s a tough place to get out of, every team is looking to achieve the same thing and a lot of teams play to their strengths in League Two.
“Whether that’s going from back to front, or playing through the thirds, they stick to what they do. A lot of teams will come here and get men behind the ball, but we’re here to get maximum points.”
