Argyle Ladies for Lydia
ARGYLE Ladies have bolstered their ranks with the signing of up-and-coming defender Lydia Huntley.
Lydia, a centre-back, joins the Pilgrims after an exceptional season with Gillingham Ladies FC, in which she was voted Players’ Player of the Season.
Huntley, 19, joins up with Argyle having relocated to Devon to study Sports and Exercise Science at the University of Exeter.
"We are delighted to have signed a player that comes with a high-quality background, and at only 19 years old, she can take us to the next level,” said Argyle Ladies’ coach Dave Leonard.
The Greens have started Women's National League Southern Premier Division campaign well, most recently defeating Yeovil 5-1 in an eye-catching display at Manadon Sports Hub - lifting themselves up to second in the table in the process.
If you would like to see Lydia, and the rest of the Argyle Ladies in action, you will get an opportunity to do so at Home Park on Sunday, December 8, where the high-flying Pilgrims host Watford, kick-off 2pm.
Welcome, Lydia.
