Byron Blow

ARGYLE striker Byron Moore is waiting on a scan to check the severity of the hamstring problem that saw him hobble out of Tuesday’s 2-2 draw at Crawley Town.

While manager Ryan Lowe is hopeful the injury will not rule out the former Bury forward for a long time, he is a certain absentee for the weekend visit of Cheltenham Town in Sky Bet League Two.

Thankfully, the Pilgrims have a clean bill of health through the rest of the squad and lots of eager bodies waiting to take their chance in the team.

“He [Moore] is a bit gutted, a bit disappointed,” said Ryan. “We’re waiting for the scan, they should be with us soon, but the likelihood is he’ll be out for a couple of weeks.

“Apart from him, everyone’s fit. Everyone’s trained, just the one out, everyone’s raring to go, even the youngsters who are staying back and doing extra to make sure they’re ready, just in case they’re called upon.

“I’m gutted for Byron now, but we just need to make sure he’s fine.”
