Conor's Business Balance
WHILE many things have changed at Home Park since last season, Conor Grant’s sponsorship has not.
For the second year running, local finance firm Balance for Business has committed to sponsoring Conor’s home shirt. According to managing director Dave Ottley, it was an easy decision to renew his support for the Pilgrims’ midfielder.
“We are delighted to sponsor Conor Grant for a further year as our favourite football club continues its development under new management,” said Dave.
“We have been club sponsors for eight years and will continue to support Argyle for many years to come, as the exciting new developments happen both on and off the pitch at Home Park.
“Conor is a fantastically talented footballer, we are proud to be his sponsors for another season and wish both him and the team every success on the pitch.”
Balance for Business was founded by Ottley in 2011, serving as a financial partner for clients in the South West and beyond. The company, which is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, helps its clients source appropriate funding options for their needs, and has sourced over £300m of funding for its partners since inception a decade ago.
More than just sourcing funding, though, Balance for Business aims to be that ‘critical friend’, helping companies with ideas, as well as executing funding options – providing a personalised service in an industry that seems to be losing its human touch.
Ottley, who worked in senior roles at HSBC and Barclays before branching out with Balance for Business, is a passionate sports fan. Outside of his office, based in Estover, Dave has been involved in grassroots football for a decade, and is currently a part of the management team at Torpoint FC.
