Do What We Need To Do

ARGYLE manager Ryan Lowe will not take anything for granted ahead of today’s Sky Bet League Two match against Oldham Athletic at Home Park.

The Latics have had a difficult start to their campaign and are currently lying in 22nd place in the division with only one win from their first six games.

“It’s going to be a tough, tough game,” said Lowe.

“They are probably disappointed in the start they’ve had, probably would have wanted to have done better, but we’ll never disrespect any team.

“We’ll never say it’s going to be easy because it’s not, any team can beat anyone in this league as you’ve seen, so we are not getting carried away, we know it’s a tough ask but if we do what we need to do, we’ll be fine.”

Argyle have had a decent start to the campaign, currently lying in sixth position only four points behind leaders and rivals Exeter City.

The Pilgrims will look to bounce back from last Saturday’s disappointing 3-1 loss away to Northampton but with only six games of the season gone, Lowe is reluctant to read too much into the league table.

“It’s only early days, the league won’t start taking shape until around 10/15 games in. That’s when we’ll take stock,” said Ryan.

“We’ll have targets of where we want to get to, like any team, any club, we want to get as many points as we possibly can on the board.

“Up until last week we were on two points a game, so I think if we were potentially to get three points on Saturday, we would be in good stead.”
