Family Day Out
THERE is plenty going on at Home Park in the hours leading up to Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two match against Cheltenham Town.
As well as our new Family Fan Zone at the Devonport end, which opens at 11am, Argyle Community Trust will be running their own Fan Zone for young supporters to enjoy a variety of games, including 3v3 football, archery and golf-putting.
There is also an area to simply put your feet up with extra-comfortable bean bags; sink your toes into an artificial lawn; or pretend you are at the beach in our giant deck chair to watch the world go by or start flipping through the match programme and swot up on the game.
The area has been created as an extension to the fixed Family Zone located within the stadium at the Barn Park end. That boasts a comfortable and safe environment for families to enjoy, with soft seating, baby-changing facilities and a great coffee machine, as well as a pool table, table-tennis, televisions and four computer consoles (Xbox and PS4) to keep young fans (and big kids) entertained before the game.
Head of Community Mark Lovell said: “Many fans visiting Home Park as a family don’t necessarily sit in the Barn Park end that’s known as the ‘Family Stand’ and we don’t want them to miss out of the additional entertainment we offer.
“Making activities available outside the ground before the game allows us to make the fan experience that much better. It becomes more than just the 90 minutes on the pitch but being able to come as a family for more of a day out.”
