Fletch Joins Shots

ALEX Fletcher has completed a deadline day short-term loan move to National League side Aldershot Town.

The 20-year-old striker made his way through the Argyle Academy ranks and made his first-team debut in December 2016, whilst still an apprentice.

Alex signed professionally the following summer and showed promise for the Pilgrims, scoring a brace against Chelsea in the EFL trophy. Unfortunately, he found regular first-team opportunities hard to come by, making a total of six appearances in the 2018-19 campaign.

Fletch did regularly turn out for the development side and captained the Argyle Premier League Cup team. Having not made a senior appearance this season, the striker is hoping to be given more opportunities at Aldershot, who currently lie 19th in the National League.

Everyone at Argyle wishes Alex all the best with his new challenge and will keep a close eye on how he progresses.
