Putting On a Show

THOUSANDS of Argyle fans have flocked to Home Park so far this season to catch a glimpse of Ryan Lowe’s Pilgrims in action. Six league games in and the support from the Green Army has been as good as any time in recent memory.

A particular highlight at home so far has to be the Tuesday night sell-out against Salford City, closely followed by bumper crowds for our games against Colchester United and our Second Round EFL Cup tie against Championship side Reading.

Josh Grant, on loan from Chelsea, is the latest Pilgrim to wax lyrical about the support from the stands.

“It’s fantastic, you can really see how they help us in the games,” said the young defender. “Sometimes, when you’re sat on the bench, you’re just looking and thinking ‘wow, what a support this is, this is amazing, so hopefully we can keep putting on a show for the fans.”

It’s worth noting that the support away from home is second to none. The travelling members of the Green Army sold out their allocation of tickets at both Crewe Alexandra and Newport County.

With the new Grandstand redevelopment hoping to open around the turn of the year, you’d be forgiven for beginning to imagine the atmosphere at Home Park with all four sides of the stadium in full voice, cheering on Ryan Lowe’s men.

Thank you for your continued support, exceptional as ever, and we look forward to welcoming you all again for the weekend visit of Oldham Athletic in Sky Bet League Two.
