Armed Services Day Gallery

ARGYLE celebrated our traditional Armed Services Day for the weekend visit of Cambridge United and it was another fantastic occasion at Home Park.

Headed by Help for Heroes, our official charity for Armed Services Day XI focussing on their 40,000 Strong campaign, we also had Street Factory dancers; Royal British Legion; China Fleet Club; Veterans Bike Club; Armed Forces Careers Office; Males Allowed; Improving Lives; Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association; Aggie Weston’s; and event sponsors Babcock.

Of the 7,000 veterans living in Plymouth, 2,300 are receiving pensions pertaining to injuries or illnesses attributable to service and are likely to be eligible for support from Help for Heroes, highlighting the importance of local funding.
