Pilgrim Promotion Push
THE Pilgrim promotion push moves to Macclesfield Town tonight and our game in hand on many of the teams around us in Sky Bet League Two.
The original fixture just before Christmas was postponed because of safety concerns at Moss Rose and the Greens are now enjoying a superb run of form that included the 2-1 win over Crewe Alexandra on the weekend.
Argyle manager Ryan Lowe was quick to praise the superb support of the Green Army against Crewe and the fans will again be a major component in spurring on the players at Macclesfield.
“It’s one of our games in hand, we went up there last time and planned, but it was called off for obvious reasons,” said Ryan.
“We dust ourselves down and go again. Crewe is gone now, we’ve picked up three terrific points and we move on to Macclesfield. The fans have been terrific, I’d like to think they believe in what we’re trying to do and they are always behind us 100%.
“The games are coming thick and fast, we’re counting them down and I want to make sure every single player in my squad is on their toes.
“The players believe in what we’re trying to do and we will just go about our business quietly. We know what can happen in League Two and, as I’ve said, when we get down to around eight to ten games to go, you’ll see a bit of light at the end of the tunnel.”
If you are unable to make the trip, why not watch the game live on iFollow.
