Semi-Final Draw
ARGYLE Ladies are within 90 minutes of reaching the National League Plate Final after being drawn at home to Bolton Wanderers or West Bromwich Albion in the semi-final.
The tie will take place at the Manadon Hub on Sunday, February 23, with the winners meeting either Middlesbrough, Chichester City or Watford in the final.
Argyle manager Dave Leonard has always said this was a trophy his team could win and he was delighted with the draw: “I am absolutely delighted and extremely excited with a home draw. It was all we could ask for having a home draw.
“They [Bolton and West Brom] didn't get there by chance, so we know what we are up against. It’s great to have a home draw, so we will just have to give it a real go. I know the girls will be up for it.”
Argyle reached this stage by beating Buckland Athletic (7-1), Wimbledon (3-1) and Stevenage (3-1). West Bromwich Albion who are 10th in the Northern Division beat Lincoln City (A) 2-1, Burton Albion (H) 6-1, Leafield Athletic (H) 5-1. While Bolton Wanderers who lie 8th in Division One North beat Doncaster Rovers (H) 6-1 and Newcastle United (H) 1-0.
