Match-Day Magic

ANOTHER busy day on the horizon for Argyle Community Trust on Saturday, with Newport County visiting Home Park, and the ever-popular Match-Day Magic promotion will be entertaining three groups from as far afield as mid-Cornwall & Weymouth.

The groups from across the Tamar are from Probus Youth Football Club, near Truro and just a bit further West, a group from Treloweth Primary School in Redruth. However, making the longest journey are Chickerell Youth Football Club based in Weymouth, Dorset.

A big welcome awaits the School staff, club officials, children, parents, siblings and friends to Home Park- a total of 150 plus descending on the Theatre of Greens at the early hour of 9.30 a.m.

Argyle Community Trust’s coaching staff will be ready and waiting to give everyone a day to remember, starting with a Stadium tour and the added bonus here of the chance to see the new changing rooms and Mayflower Grandstand.

Next on the agenda is a coaching session for the children in the adjacent Life Centre, which is then followed by a buffet lunch for everyone.

The groups are then escorted to the award-winning Family Stand to watch the game and hopefully they will see the lads in Green collect another three points in their quest for promotion.

Although the remaining games are fully booked for this season, it is still worthwhile to make contact in case of a cancellation or be included for consideration next season.
