Opportunity Knocks

ARGYLE manager Ryan Lowe has praised the attitude of his squad after Tuesday’s 3-0 home win over Grimsby Town and ahead of tomorrow’s visit from Macclesfield Town in Sky Bet League Two.

Conor Grant, George Cooper and Ryan Hardie all came into the side and impressed. It is something that pleases the manager because everyone is eager to play.

Hardie scored his first Argyle goal as a starter, George assisted the first goal for Tyreeq Bakinson’s header and Conor shone in midfield - for the incoming trio, it was a very good nights work.

“George came in after being left out for a couple of games, Ryan Hardie has been scoring goals off the bench, and Conor was fantastic - we name them three because they came in [against Grimsby],” said the gaffer.

”It’s tough and the likes of Conor have been waiting for the opportunity. Not a day has gone by where he hasn’t done his work properly.

“It’s testament to them and their attitudes. We always say that when we sign players and they’re good lads, good characters, who are waiting for an opportunity.”
