Club Statement: EFL Meeting

Plymouth Argyle Football Club acknowledges the recent EFL statement, as well as social media speculation, regarding the proposed conclusion of the 2019/20 Sky Bet League Two campaign.

In an indicative vote held on Friday, May 15, we voted in favour of curtailing the season early, alongside the 23 other clubs in the division - including implementing a points-per-game model to replace the remaining fixtures.

The club is, of course, aware that the proposed model would earn us promotion to Sky Bet League One. However, this is just one important step in the process before any such decision can be finalised.

We understand that members of the Green Army will, rightly, want to celebrate the achievements of Ryan Lowe and his first-team squad. We endeavour to be as transparent as possible throughout this process, and will update supporters as and when we have more information to share.

In the meantime, we will continue to work with the EFL, its member clubs, and key stakeholders to reach a solution.

Thank you for your support.
