Suspension for Argyle Ladies

Plymouth Argyle Women have received confirmation from the FA Women’s National League that all football will be suspended for the second lockdown period.

We received the following statement from the League:

“We have now received this clarification which unfortunately means that ALL football, including football training, from Tiers 3 to 7 will be temporarily suspended from Thursday, 5 November until 2 December.

“This is obviously not the news we wanted, but as we all know and appreciate, it is part of a much wider picture and action necessary to try to reduce the spread of Coronavirus which we all have a legal and moral responsibility to follow.

“The Management Committee and everyone associated with The FA WNL is absolutely committed to ensuring that every effort is made to complete the 20/21 fixture programme.  Despite COVID issues and postponements, the majority of WNL clubs have made a great start to the season with some already completing a quarter of fixtures already.  When we are clear to start playing again, our collective determination. cooperation and flexibility will be essential in ensuring that all remaining fixtures are played.”
