Support for Ladies
Plymouth Argyle Women are celebrating fantastic news following the receipt of funding from the Premier League to help them ensure the safe return of supporters to their fixtures at the Manadon Sports & Community Hub.
The Match-day Support Fund grant will allow the Ladies to put in place measures that will make their ground safer for the 2020/21 season and meet the challenges caused by Covid-19. This could include securing adequate amounts of PPE, digital match-day payment solutions and more.
The Match-day Support Fund is managed by the Football Stadia Improvement Fund (FSIF), which is financed by the Premier League and supports Women’s Football Pyramid clubs with the cost of improvements to their grounds.
Club Secretary and Covid-19 Coordinator, Scott Cooksley, said: ”We are delighted to receive this funding from the Football Foundation in order to ensure the safety of both participants and supporters at Plymouth Argyle Ladies.
“Football is so important for not only players, match officials and coaches, but for the supporters as well, and with grants such as this we can do our part to ensure its safe continuation.”
Please note that Argyle’s game against Oxford United Ladies this weekend has been postponed due to an international call-up and the Development fixture has also been postponed, so the ladies will play an in-house friendly at Manadon.
