Randell Wins Torquay Award

Congratulations to Argyle midfield prospect Adam Randell, whose excellent campaign on loan at Devon neighbours Torquay United has seen him voted the Gulls' Young Player of the Season.

The 20-year-old Argyle Academy graduate has been a near-ever present for Gary Johnson's Gulls, who are seeking a return to the EFL through the National League play-offs.

Making his debut for the Plainmoor outfit as an 80th-minute substitute against Stockport in October 2020, Adam has started every league game since then, barring one which was missed through suspension, clocking up 43 appearances in all competitions. The undeniable promise shown at Torquay earned Adam a contract extension in February 2021.

Randell made his Argyle debut in the EFL Trophy defeat at Newport County in 2018. Adam made 8 appearances across all competitions during the Greens’ promotion-winning season, and was named in the match-day squad for all but four games during the Pilgrims’ Sky Bet League Two 19/20 campaign.

Congratulations, Adam - and good luck in the play-offs!
