2025/26 Pre-Season schedule announced

Pre-Season

Argyle will play five domestic pre-season friendlies, and one in Austria, as the Greens prepare for the 2025/26 Sky Bet League One campaign.

Home Park will play host to a pre-season game, with Championship side Bristol City visiting PL2 on Saturday, 26 July, ahead of the season starting the following weekend.

From 7-12 July, Argyle will head to Austria for a training camp with a fixture to be played on Friday, 11 July.

Upon our return from Europe, Argyle will travel to Cornwall for a match against National League side Truro City on Wednesday, 16 July. The Tinners clinched the National League South title last season and will be preparing for a campaign at the highest level of non-league football.

Tom Cleverley’s side will also play on Saturday, 19 July with our opponents still to be confirmed. Argyle will then make the trip to Devon counterparts Torquay United on Wednesday, 23 July for our annual pre-season visit to Plainmoor.

The club will provide ticket details for all the above games when we have them.

“We are pleased with the competitive pre-season schedule we have put together so far, so the team are ready for the Sky Bet League one season ahead,” said Argyle Head of Football Operations David Fox.

“It is brilliant that we will be playing a pre-season game at Home Park for the first time in a while and we look forward to welcoming the Green Army back to PL2 ahead of the regular season.

“We are also excited to head to Austria for a pre-season camp which will see the players tested in not only warm weather, but at altitude as well, which will challenge the squad and improve their fitness immensely.

“The season is fast approaching and all of us here at Argyle are just as excited as the Green Army to see football return once again.”
