Argyle Under-18s start their 2025/26 EFL Youth Alliance South campaign with an away trip to last season’s champions Luton Town on Saturday, 9 August.
The Hatters topped the table last year, winning 21 of 27 games and claiming 65 points, whilst Argyle finished in fifth place. The battle between the two sides last year at Millennium Fields ended in a 2-2 draw thanks to Sam Lord’s last-minute placed finish into the top corner.
Argyle’s busy start to the season continues with three more away trips, to Sutton United and Wycombe Wanderers in the league, and a Professional Development League Cup midweek tie against Portsmouth.
Jamie Lowry’s side play their first home game on Saturday, 30 August, when they host Stevenage in the Youth Alliance South.
League play will continue throughout the year, with further PDL Cup matches against AFC Bournemouth and Cheltenham Town taking place in October and November.
November will also see the first match in the Youth Alliance Cup, which will be announced in due course. Details on Argyle’s FA Youth Cup opening match will also follow when we have more information.
Post-Christmas, the Youth Alliance Cup area semi-final will take place on Tuesday, 20 January, and the final on Tuesday, 17 February, if Argyle progress to the further stages. The cup’s national final will take place in April.
The first Devon Derby of the year takes place on Saturday, 7 February, with the Greens hosting Exeter City, whilst the reverse fixture will be Argyle’s penultimate game of the Youth Alliance South on Saturday, 25 April.
