2026/27 fixtures to be released on 25 June

Argyle's 2026/27 league fixtures will be released on Thursday, 25 June, at midday.

All Sky Bet Championship, League One and League Two fixtures will be confirmed at the same time.

Round One of the Carabao Cup will kick off the new campaign, before the Championship, League One and League Two begin the following weekend. 

Key dates for the 2026/27 season include:

  • Carabao Cup Round One: 7-9 August, 2026
  • Sky Bet EFL opening weekend: 14-16 August, 2026
  • Vertu Trophy Group Stage: Begins week commencing 21 September, 2026 

The Carabao Cup and Vertu Trophy draws will take place on fixture release day, with full details to be confirmed.

Broadcast Selections - 2026/27

  • The opening weekend of EFL fixtures across the Championship, League One and League Two will be live on Sky Sports and Sky Sports+.
  • By 2 July, 2026, selections will be announced in respect of all live broadcast matches to be played before the end of September 2026.
  • By 31 July, 2026, selections will be confirmed in respect of all live broadcast matches to be played up to, and including, the weekend of 8-11 January, 2027.
  • By 6 November, 2026, selections shall be announced in respect of all matches to be played up to, and including, the midweek of 2-3 March, 2027.  

This once again provides fans and clubs up to five months’ notice. By selecting TV picks early and giving much more notice, fans will be able to plan with certainty when making travel and any hotel arrangements.   

  • Selections for matches scheduled for the weekend of 5-8 March, 2027, will be announced by 5 February, 2027, followed by weekly announcements looking four weeks ahead. (For example, the weekend of 12-15 March, 2027, will be announced by Friday, 12 February, 2027).
  • Selections for matches scheduled for the penultimate weekend of the regular season will be announced three weeks in advance.
  • Selections for matches scheduled for the final weekend of the regular season will be announced the week prior.
