5k Fun Run - raising money for Project 35
Entry is open for the second annual Argyle Community Trust ‘Green Army’ 5k Fun Run – Raising money for Project 35, our award-winning social impact project, in partnership with Ginsters, aimed at tackling poverty in the region.
This year promises to be bigger and better than ever:
- The finish line for the race is INSIDE the Theatre of Greens - Home Park Stadium!
- Each finisher will receive a medal, T-shirt and FREE ticket to Plymouth Argyle Women v Ipswich Town Women, kicking off at 2pm on the same day at Home Park.
- Your medal will be presented by Plymouth Argyle Women players and staff.
- Meet Pilgrim Pete and have your photo taken with him at the finish line.
- Spectators, friends and family are welcome along the route, and in the Beacon Electrical Mayflower Grandstand.
- Most importantly, you will be raising money for Project 35 and our fight against poverty in Plymouth, Devon, and Cornwall.
The 5-kilometre (just over 3 mile) run will begin at Central Park Hub Plymouth on Sunday, 13 October and is open to everyone over the age of 18, of any running ability. Runners and families are encouraged to wear fancy dress – and are particularly encouraged to have loads of fun!
Additional activities and hot and cold refreshments will be available for family and friends at Central Park throughout the day, making this an event for everyone.
Runner registration begins from 7.45am at Central Park Hub, with the fun run starting at 9am.
Entry is £10 per runner, which helps to cover event costs. We then kindly ask that you raise a minimum of £35 in sponsorship with all money going to Project 35. Your sponsorship will directly fund meaningful community work in our local areas, so if you’re in a position to fundraise then please do!
Spaces are limited to just 200 so don’t delay as spaces are already filling quickly!
You can sign up to the event now by clicking here.
You’ll then need to sign up to create your own JustGiving page for the event to start your fundraising journey.
Project 35 is an award-winning project that has been tackling poverty in Plymouth, Devon, and Cornwall for two years through a comprehensive campaign of fund-raising, awareness raising, social outreach, food donations, education, and charity support.
Matt White, Fundraising Officer for the Argyle Community Trust said: “This promises to be an incredibly fun and memorable occasion for local runners and their families to enjoy the green spaces at Central Park, a chance to enter Home Park Stadium, meet their heroes, and raise vital funds and awareness for Project 35.
“We hope you can join us, and we can’t wait to see you all there.”
