Argyle's Under-18s continued their brilliant journey through the Youth Alliance league with another victory, this time a spectacular 5-0 win over Cheltenham Town.

Will Jenkins Davies, Caleb Roberts and Freddie Issaka scored in the first half to give the Greens a commanding first-half lead. Roberts would add another and Cole Fisher would join the scoreboard in the second half to clinically finish the game.

The scoring began in the fourth minute with an excellent goal from a direct free-kick by Jenkins Davies. After being fouled to earn the dead-ball, Jenkins Davies stepped up to strike a strong shot, carefully placed in the top corner, making the goalkeeper's job impossible.

Four minutes later, Argyle took a quick, short corner, getting the ball to Roberts unmarked on the edge of the box. His powerful strike was too much for the Town keeper, who got a glove to the ball, but could not keep it out.

Issaka would put an end to the first half's goals six minutes before the interval. A cross-field pass from Jenkins Davies looked like being cut out by the Cheltenham left-back, but Issaka stole the ball and shot with all the calm in the world to score the third goal.

Argyle dominated the game apart for a few times when Cheltenham, searching for rapid transitions to create danger, looked for a goal to get them back into the game. Argyle's solid defence denied all attempts by the Robins, who began to lose control of his game and generated gaps at the back that the Pilgrims capitalised on in the second half.

It was Roberts who added the fourth, picking the ball up after Jenkins Davies had barrelled his way through. Roberts calmly darted to his left, created his own space inside the openalty area, then calmly clipped home.

Fisher had an immediate impact off the bench, and his efforts were rewarded with a goal to seal the game. Released by Roberts on the left, Fisher still had lots to do when reaching the bye-line, then cutting back onto his right foot and driving home at the near post.
