Argyle Academy are excited to announce several part-time vacancies at our Cornwall Academy Coaching Hub, based at Camborne College.
These roles offer a unique opportunity to work within a professional academy structure, supporting the development of young players aged 7–16.
Vacancy: Academy Assistant Coach (U7–U8) – Part-Time
This is an important role assisting and supporting Head Coaches within the programme, coaching our Academy players and others identified for future progression in Cornwall.
Essential Qualifications
FA Level 2 (UEFA C) Coaching qualification
FA Safeguarding workshop
FA Level 1 Introduction to First Aid in Football (IFAiF)
Opportunity to work towards UEFA B
Responsibilities
• To support the delivery of coaching sessions.
• Liaise with coaching team and wider Academy staff team regarding the development of the players.
• Support Individual Development Plans and Performance Reviews for all players in the group.
• To integrate into the Academy coaching team and building positive relationship with Academy staff, players and parents.
• Attend all club coaching Continuous Professional Development events and external training courses as set out in under the EPPP guidelines.

Vacancy: Academy Lead Goalkeeping Coach (U7–U16) – Part-Time
We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, and inspiring goalkeeping coach to join our Cornwall Academy Coaching Hub (CACH) in Cornwall. This is an exciting opportunity for a Level 2 (now UEFA C) goalkeeping coach who is prepared to work towards their UEFA B.
Essential Qualifications
- FA Level 2 (UEFA C) coaching qualification & FA Level 2 Goalkeeping Course (National Goalkeeping Course)
- FA Safeguarding Workshop
FA Level 1 Introduction to First Aid in Football (IFAiF)

Responsibilities
• To plan, deliver and review all coaching sessions and fixtures for the CACH in line with the club’s coaching syllabus.
• To design and implement Individual Development Plans for all CACH keepers as well as ensuring that players receive a Performance Review every 12 weeks.
• To liaise closely with the Head of Cornwall Recruitment & Development to identify and monitor incoming trialists, as well as identify areas of need within Cornwall Academy Goalkeepers.
• To integrate into the Academy coaching team and building positive relationship with Academy staff, players and parents.
