Argyle awarded Gold in EFL Equality Code of Practice

Argyle have been awarded Gold in the EFL Equality Code of Practice.

The club went under a rigorous assessment process with the Code of Practice providing a framework to guide all EFL clubs towards legislative compliance around inclusion and anti-discrimination issues.

The Code of Practice assesses the culture and policies at respective clubs, the reporting and management of incidents on a match day, and the services provided to the local community to engage in activities, among other things.

After receiving a Silver award in July 2024, the club has stepped up its efforts in all areas and we are delighted to now receive a Gold award, putting Argyle among the top-ranked clubs in the EFL.

Argyle's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Manager, Siobhan Robbie-James, is delighted to see the club receive the Gold award, and commented: “This achievement has been made possible by the hard work from the entire workforce across the football club and Argyle Community Trust.

“Everyone at the club embodies the ‘One Argyle’ ethos and awards such as this one underline our commitment to ensuring that Home Park Stadium is a welcoming place for all.

“Achieving a Silver award was an achievement in itself, but now achieving Gold showcases our efforts to make a positive impact in our community and throughout football.”
