Argyle draw Millwall Lionesses in Women's FA Cup first round

Argyle Women have been drawn at home to fifth-tier Millwall Lionesses in the first round proper of the FA Cup.

The tie is expected to take place on Sunday, 25 October, at Home Park.

Millwall, managed by Ted Jones, are eighth in the London & South East Regional Women’s League Premier Division. They booked their place in the first round with a 4-2 victory over fellow tier five side Denham United.

The Lionesses have a proud history in the FA Cup and have twice lifted the trophy – in 1991 and 1997. They were founded in 1972 and became one of the first clubs in England to be officially affiliated with a professional men’s team in the 1980s.
